Conditions of Purchase:
- Kitten is sold as: Pet:_____ Show:______ Breeder:______
- All payments are non-refundable, including deposits.
- Kitten is to be an indoor pet only.
- Kitten will not be declawed.
- If kitten is purchased as a pet or show alter cat, buyer must spay or neuter the cat as soon as buyer’s veterinarian will do it, but no later than nine months old. Breeder will provide registration papers upon receipt of proof of spay or neuter. If kitten is purchased as a pet, buyer must obtain written permission of breeder prior to showing it.
- Kitten’s health is guaranteed for three working days during which buyer should have kitten examined by their veterinarian. (FeLv vaccination is recommended by breeder before 16 weeks of age, yet not enforced due to the risk of certain types of cancer. This is Buyer's choice and responsibility.) PLEASE NOTE: FIP and FIV vaccine voids ALL guarantees. Breeder is not responsible for any charges by your vet for this initial visit. Our health guarantee covers viral and bacterial diseases, fungus infections, and internal and external parasites. If during the guarantee period, the cat/kitten seems ill, it is to be examined by a veterinarian. If the vet feels that the animal is ill and that the illness was present prior to sale, the breeder should be contacted at once, before any major treatment is begun (except in an emergency situation). The breeder will (upon receipt of a statement from the examining veterinarian that the illness was present prior to sale) pay the cost of the medical treatment (up to the purchase price of the animal). If the cat/kitten should die from a problem present prior to sale, the breeder will either replace the animal with one of equal quality, or refund the purchase price plus cost of shipping. The total liability of the breeder shall in no case exceed the total price listed on the first page of this contract.
- Breeder strongly suggests that the kitten be quarantined from any existing animals in Buyer’s home for a minimum period of 2 weeks. Any animal going into a new home will stress. Stress can cause slight upper respiratory problems (slight runny eyes or nose), diarrhea or constipation, increased temperature, and sometimes vomiting. Slight symptoms are considered normal.
- If the kitten has latent birth defects within one year of purchase date, breeder will replace the kitten. Buyer must notify breeder immediately upon suspicion of a birth defect. A written vet report will be required prior to replacement. The replacement of kitten of equal value will be selected by mutual consent of buyer and breeder. This guarantee expires one year from purchase date.
- We have made every effort to provide your kitten with the best postnatal and early kitten care. Regular veterinarian checks are recommended along with yearly vaccinations. Many health issues can be prevented and/or treated with early detection.
- Under no circumstances will this kitten be sold, abandoned, leased, given away, or sold to any pet shop, research laboratory, animal shelter or similar facility.
- If for any reason Buyer cannot retain ownership, this kitten will be returned to breeder unconditionally.
- We ask that if anything presents itself, even if it is years, that you try to contact us so we can keep our adult cats breeding healthy kittens.
